Salt Lake City (Jan 21, 2020) Three executives have been honored for their distinguished service in the healthcare industry in the state of Utah.

  • Senior-level Healthcare Executive ─ Greg Angle, FACHE, President, HCA Mountain Division
  • Senior-level Healthcare Executive ─ Alison Flynn-Gaffney, MHA, CMRP, FACHE, Executive Director, University of Utah Health
  • Early Career Healthcare Executive ─ Brent Schmidt, FACHE, Administrator, Sevier Valley Hospital, Intermountain Healthcare

Amanda Choudhary, FACHE, American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Regent for Utah made the announcement along with Rebecca Hunter, Utah Healthcare Executives chapter president. The Healthcare Executive awards are given to healthcare executives who have demonstrated their consistent professionalism and excellence in healthcare leadership roles.

Said Choudhary, “That takes hard work and dedication any year, but to have accomplished that in 2020, a year that called on healthcare leaders like never before, is truly outstanding.”

Hunter agrees, adding, “One of the things that makes these awards so special is that you are nominated by chapter membership who are themselves healthcare executives. This award is recognition from our regent, our board of directors, and our membership who have all been inspired by you.”

Due to the ongoing pandemic these awards were announced virtually, rather than at in an in-person event.
