Utah Healthcare Executives is offering Leading for Change: Creating a Humanistic Approach for Patient, Family and Staff Engagement with guest speaker Diane Ball on Wednesday September 25 at The Lodges at Deer Valley in Park City. All attendees will receive six face-to-face ACHE education hours for attending this event.
This seminar provides a unique opportunity for healthcare executives to build the leadership skills and knowledge needed to address patient-experience initiatives in their organizations. Through a series of simulations, case studies, interactive exercises and discussions, participants will experience healthcare from the patient’s perspective. This timely, experiential seminar will explore the guiding principles impacting the patient experience and examine the leadership skills and focus areas needed to effect this cultural change.
Our facilitator, Diane Ball, BSN, MSEd, is a consultant, trainer and group facilitator, currently working for the Baird Consulting Group in Ft. Atkinson, WI. Her diverse background includes critical care nursing, cardiac rehab nursing, staff and patient education, complimentary therapies, business development, leadership and patient centered care. Ms. Ball was the patient-centered champion at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL from 2005 to 2010 and successfully implemented the Planetree model of patient-centered care. She consulted for Planetree from 2010 to 2013.
